โœฆ Synopsis

We have performed calculations for the photodissociation of HzS using surfaces constructed to test a model proposed by van Veen et al., in which the dissociation occcrs via predissociated levels of the bound * B1 excited state. Total Franck-Condon factors for the photodissociation and partial Franck-Condon factors for the product vibrational distributions are presented.

The photodissociation cross section of the weakly bound positive ion clustur Ot(H;?O) has been measured at I5 discrete energes between 1.833 and 2.727 eV. Measurements indicate the cross section increases smoothly from 0.6 to 6 x lo-" cm2 over this eriergy range. These cross section values are the l

Mg+-H20 ion-molecule complexes are produced in a pulsed supersonic nozzle cluster source. These weakly bound complexes are mass selected and studied with laser photodissociation spectroscopy in a reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometer system. An electronic transition assigned as 2B2--}X 2A1 is
