✦ Synopsis

We have measured the specific heat (0.3 < T < 0.6 K) of superconducting UPt3 in an external magnetic field (B< 1T) applied along the c-axis of the hexagonal crystal. We studied the field dependence of the two superconducting phases re orted before in zero field (1). The phase diagram for B//c has a critical point at 0.75 tesla and 0.3 s 5 K.

The superconducting phase diagram of heavy-fermion UPt 3 has been investigated by means of sensitive dilatometry. The thermodynamic analysis indicates that all the phase lines are of second order. Ehrenfest relations reveal that the C phase is the stable phase under uniaxial pressure (p II e).
