✦ Synopsis

We investigated the oxygen isotope effect in superconducting Co substituted YBCO. Co concentrations between 4 and 13% were used. The transition temperature T c falls monotonously to 22.7 K for x = 0.13. The oxygen isotope exponent n0 rises from n0 = 0.08 (4% Co) to n0 = 0.46 (x = 0.13%) at the lowest transition temperature. The dependence of no on Tc is intermediate between that for Zn and Pr substituted YBCO.

An isotope effect has been searched for in high-T¢ superconductor YiBa~CusO~ through substitution of 63Cu for 65Cu. No shift in the superconducting transition temperature was observed by electrical resistivity measurement.
