Uiethylhydroxylamine, (CzH&NOH, was oxidized by NO2 a t 25ยฐC in a long-path-length infrared gas cell. The measured products of the reaction were HONO and CH3CHO. The reaction scheme which explains the reaction is

The products of the reaction were verified by both infrared absorption (CHzCHO, CZHSNO) and gas chromatography (CH3CH0, NO).
