The photoexcitcd triplet states of chlorophyll a and b are studied by the EPR method at -85 K using modulated ii&t excitation. Both compounds show anomalous EPR line intensities and transient kinetics, indicating e!ectron spin polxi~ation (ESP) in the photoexcitcd triplet state. EPR studies, using h

β¦ Synopsis
The ordering of the zero field triplet spin sublevels in several monomeric chlorophylls has been determined by magnetophotoselection techniques. For all the chlorophylls which we have examined LI > 0. The sign of E changes for the chlorophylls with a chlorin ring structure (i.e. chlorophyll a and related molecules) compared to those with a tetrahydroporphm ring ctructure (i-c , bactcriochlorophyll a and related molecules).

Localized triplet excitations obtained by trapping of triplet excitons are investigated in the biphenyl (B)-tetracyanobenzene (TCNB) crystal by zero-field ODMR methods at low temperature ( 1.25 K), At high microwave power ( I W) the ODMR spectral lines are structured with new satellite lines appeari
Zero-field-splitting parameters D and E for the fullerene GO in its Jahn-Teller distorted triplet state were calculated and compared to recent experimental results. The three spin-lattice relaxation rates for the triplet state of ncridine in zerc-field have been determined in a biphenyl host from 1.7-3.2 K.
