CONSTITUTION
Article Z-Name and Objectives
The Society shall be known as "The Movement Disorder Society" and its objectives shall be: to advance the neurological sciences pertaining to movement disorders; to operate exclusively for scientific, scholarly, and educational purposes; to encourage research; to provide forums, such as medical journals and scientific symposia, for sharing ideas and for advancing the related clinical and scientific discipline; to encourage interest among neurologists and neuroscientists to participate in the activities of the Society.
Article ZZ-A Non-Profit Organization
The Society is not organized for profit and no part of the net earnings of the Society shall inure to the benefit of any private individual or member. The Society shall remain independent.
