To contribute to the biogeographical knowledge of rotifers, we critically re-evaluate the species of Lecanidae recorded from Thailand. We report on a number of rare (L. armata THOMASSON, L. bulla diabolica HAUER, L. chinesensis ZHUGE and KOSTE) and one new species of Lecane. Lecane latissima YAMAMOT

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Spironympha is discussed as valid genus. It was described by Koidzumi ('16); later it was redescribed by the same author as Microspironympha ('21). Therefore, according to the rules of nomenclature, it is Spironympha.
The genus is compared with the related genera: Spirotrichonympha, Holomastigotes, and Microjoenia.
Spironympha is characterized by four flagellar bands which are spirally wound around the anterior part of the body; these bands occur only in the anterior end, whereas in Spirotrichonympha they extend almost to the posterior end. The parabasals are few in number, and they are attached to the basal granules of the flagellar bands; the anterior end is clear and almost free from cytoplasmic granules; and there are twenty to thirty anterior flagella which are attached to the base of the centroblepharoplast or to the basal granules of the flagellar bands. An axostyle is present.
No centrosome occurs within the nucleus, but the centroblepharoplast has this kinetic function.
Spironympha ovalis is described as a new species. It is ovoid; the average size is 38 ΞΌ to 44 ΞΌ. An axostyle is present. The host is Reticulitermes hesperus Banks.

In the framework of the BIOTA-Southern Africa Project Arge deckerti n. sp. is described. It is compared with the very similar species Arge stuhlmanni (Kohl 1893). The morphological characteristics of these species are illustrated, and their distribution in southern and East Africa is given. A record
The validity of the name Hylambates hyloides is being examined. This name was commonly used for a small West African forest Leptopelis since the 1960s. In this paper it is shown that Leptopelis hyloides is a synonym of L. viridis, a widespread West African savanna frog. Consequently this forest taxo
## Abstract A new species of cladid(?) crinoid, __Segmentocolumnus__ (col.) __clarksoni__, based on distinctive, disarticulated stem material, is described from the Upper Llandovery Kilbride Formation. Hitherto, this unit has yielded two taxa based on single, nearly complete crinoids. In contrast,
The female of Chelaseius arnei n. sp. collected from weeds in France is described and illustrated. A key is provided for the known species of Chelaseius.
We describe a new species of Varanus from the Moluccan island of Halmahera, based on a preserved male and a juvenile specimen. The new species is assignable to the V. indicus group of the varanid subgenus Euprepiosaurus Fitzinger, by molecular and genital morphological characters. The new species is
