โฆ Synopsis
In the framework of the BIOTA-Southern Africa Project Arge deckerti n. sp. is described. It is compared with the very similar species Arge stuhlmanni (Kohl 1893). The morphological characteristics of these species are illustrated, and their distribution in southern and East Africa is given. A record for Athalia ustipennis Mocsa ยดry in Namibia is presented.
๐ SIMILAR VOLUMES
The sawfly fauna of the winter rainfall area of Namibia and South Africa is very poor both in number of species and number of individuals. Triarge Forsius, 1931 is raised from synonymy with Arge Schrank. Triarge seems to be endemic to this area. The only previously known species Triarge plumbea Fors
