β¦ Synopsis
We model colloid-dispersed fluids using the real-coded lattice gas, in which colloidal particles are treated as hard spheres interacting with solvents of the lattice gas particles. We simulate the Brownian motion of a colloidal particle and compare its velocity distribution with that from the theoretical prediction. Both agree well showing that thermal fluctuation is naturally incorporated. We also measured the drag force acting on a colloidal particle and compare the drag coefficient with existing data. It is found that higher space and time resolutions are required in order to model the correct colloidal fluids interactions.

We show that the dynamics of lattice gases can be described with an XXZ Heisenberg model in any dimension. The ground state of the system is also calculated for a wide parameter range. The generalized model, allowing more than one particle on a site, can be treated in the same manner arriving at sli
We study the early-time morphology and the scaling behavior of the interfaces generated by the deposition, diffusion and aggregation processes. The description of the kinetics is based on the mean field master equation in terms of lattice gas model. The results show that the islands morphology depen
