✦ Synopsis
We show that the dynamics of lattice gases can be described with an XXZ Heisenberg model in any dimension. The ground state of the system is also calculated for a wide parameter range. The generalized model, allowing more than one particle on a site, can be treated in the same manner arriving at slightly more complicated Hamiltonians. The ground state of the system belongs always to the canonical ensemble and can differ from the grand canonical one.
