## Abstract A microstrip ring resonator with stubs is analyzed by circuit theory. It is shown that the stubs lead to a reduction of the dimensions of the resonator, an increase of the susceptance slope parameter, and as a consequence, an increase of the __Q__‐factor. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Thus, if the parameters L and G of the two resonators 0 0 are approximately equal, the resonator with stubs has a lower resonant frequency and a higher Q-factor due to the additional capacitance introduced by the stubs.

FDTD, the coarse-grid FDTD, and the proposed combined MRTDrFDTD approach. For every iteration stage, the diode modeling equation is solved with a Newton᎐Raphson iterative procedure, and the field values in the vicinity of the lumped load are updated by the local FDTD boundary condition. The absorbin
