Thus, if the parameters L and G of the two resonators 0 0 are approximately equal, the resonator with stubs has a lower resonant frequency and a higher Q-factor due to the additional capacitance introduced by the stubs.

Abstract
A microstrip ring resonator with stubs is analyzed by circuit theory. It is shown that the stubs lead to a reduction of the dimensions of the resonator, an increase of the susceptance slope parameter, and as a consequence, an increase of the Q‐factor. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
