✦ Synopsis


W E present a.calculation of the melting curve of helium-3 at temperatures below 0.04 Β° K. This calculation extends a previous one by Anderson et al. 1 who compared the results with their observed data down to 0.03 Β° K. The present calculation uses new specific heat data of Abel et al.2 and takes into account the spin exchange interaction in the solid as determined from nuclear magnetic resonance (n.m.r.) relaxation data. s
