β¦ Synopsis
New data for the melting curve of He 4 for temperatures between 4 and 25 K agree with earlier results by Mills and Grilly and by Crawford and Daniels, but disagree with the relationship given by Glassford and Smith [CRYOGENICS 6 (1966) 193] who carried out equation of state studies on fluid and solid He 4. The reasons for the disagreement are not clear, but can be interpreted in terms of temperature scale inaccuracies which could have influenced all of their results.

The R(0) line profile of the 13 CO fundamental band is studied at low concentration in helium from room temperature (296.7 K) to 40 K. A narrowing effect due to molecular confinement (Dicke effect) is observed and analyzed using the Galatry soft collision model. The narrowing parameter is found to b
The heat capacity of synthetic Cu3AsS4 (enargite) was measured by quasi-adiabatic calorimetry from the temperatures 5 K to 355 K and by differential scanning calorimetry from T=339 K to T=720 K. Heat-capacity anomalies were observed at T=(58.520.5) The causes of the anomalies are unknown. At T=298.
