โฆ Synopsis
A simple method is described by which the solvent hold-up in an ebulliometer may be determined using the experimental technique normally employed with that instrument. The elevation of boiling point is measured over a concentration range which exceeds the saturation solubility of the solute, and the solvent hold-up is calculated from the observed value of the saturation concentration.
