Abstract

This paper provides a new step towards a mathematical foundation for Sโ€matrices. It introduces a new operation, the Sโ€matrix multiplication, and defines the mathematical group of Sโ€matrices, allowing the power of Group Theory to be applied to Sโ€parameter network analysis. ยฉ 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In self-consistent field (SCF) calculations the construction of the Fock matrix is most time-consuming step. The Fock matrix construction may formally be seen as a matrix-vector multiplication, where the matrix is the supermatrix, Tikl, and the vector is the first-order density matrix, yi. This form

## Abstract A general method for calculating the scattering matrix of an arbitrary microwave networks is presented. Compared to existing methods, it uses a simplified algorithm that makes no distinction between external and internal ports. It thereby achieves algorithmic simplicity, and provides wa
