Abstract

A general method for calculating the scattering matrix of an arbitrary microwave networks is presented. Compared to existing methods, it uses a simplified algorithm that makes no distinction between external and internal ports. It thereby achieves algorithmic simplicity, and provides waves internally in the network as well as scattered waves at the ports. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
