✦ Synopsis
The lifetime of sing!et osygen in neutral D20 at 20°C has been determined to be 32 us by the observation of the decay of 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran in sodium dodecyl sulphate and he~adecyltrimethylammonium bromide micelles following I concentration pulse of singlet oxygen produced by laser flash photolysis of an oxygenated solution of methylene blue.
