β¦ Synopsis
Sufficient conditions for the law of the iterated logarithm for non-degenerate U-processes are presented. The law of the iterated logarithm for V-C subgraph classes of functions is obtained under second moment of the envelope. A bracketing condition for the law of the iterated logarithm for U-processes is presented. Applications to the law of the iterated logarithm of U-statistics with estimated parameters and M-estimators are mentioned. 1993 Academic Press, Inc

The usual law of the iterated logarithm states that the partial sums Sn of independent and identically distributed random variables can be normalized by the sequence an = d -, such that limsup,,, &/a, = t/z a. 9.. As has been pointed out by GUT (1986) the law fails if one considers the limsup along
The Chung Smirnov law of the iterated logarithm and the Finkelstein functional law of the iterated logarithm for empirical processes are used to establish new results on the central limit theorem, the law of the iterated logarithm, and the strong law of large numbers for L-statistics with certain bo
