## Abstract The __lac__ repressor and its tryptic core were studied by ir spectroscopy, and their β‐structure content was determined by analysis of the spectra. Using protein‐derived reference spectra, we find a β‐content for __lac__ repressor of 18% and of 23% for its tryptic core. The higher amou
