## Abstract Bufuralol (BF), a nonselective β‐adrenoceptor blocking agent, has a chiral center in its molecule, yielding the enantiomers 1β€²__R__‐BF and 1β€²__S__‐BF. β‐Adrenoceptor blocking potency is much higher in 1β€²__S__‐BF than in 1β€²__R__‐BF.
