T w o hundred twelve melanoma patients, including 38 prospective and 174 retrospective cases, were ABO and HL-A typed, a n d the results were compared with those obtained in a sample of 562 healthy controls. T h e phenotype frequencies within the ABO system were identical i n patients and controls.
