As a result of the need of US. industry to become more competitive with foreign markets, issues surrounding workplace literacy have emerged. In many instances, our current work force is illiterate in relationship to the new environment of the workplace.
The emerging trends toward "forwarddeployment," "anytimeanyplace" work, remote management, horizontal relationships, contingent workers, and virtual offices are rapidly diffusing in business entities around the world.
