β¦ Synopsis
The Green's functions are determined for plane edge cracks which meet the free surface at an arbitrary angle. Modes I and II stress in~nsi~~tion factors are found for both normai and shear loading of the crack, since coupling is found to occur between each type of loading and the two possible modes of crack-tip response.
