✦ Synopsis

The frequency-dependent constituti¨e relations of a simple ( ) ( symmetric bianisotropic medium SSBM are stated as D s A и E y ) ( ) ␤ H and B s A и ␤E q H , where A is a real symmetric dyadic. After an affine transformation is used, expressions for the fields in the source regions are deri¨ed for this medium. The obtained results may be used to determine the scattering response of an electrically small bianisotropic particle embedded in a SSBM, and can therefore also be used to homogenize a wide class of particulate composites.

## Abstract In the paper the BEM and FEM results have been compared in the context of 2D electromagnetic field analysis in a zoned medium with eddy current subregions. The practical problem concerning the turbogenerator end region has been discussed. The magnetic flux density over the surface of th
