The steam-distilled oils from wild and cultivated Cymbopogon validus (Stapf) Stapf ex Burtt Davy (Gramineae) and Elionurus muticus (Spreng.) Kunth (Gramineae) were analysed by GC and GCΒ±MS. The major components from C. validus in the wild were: myrcene (23.1Β±35.6%), (E)-b-ocimene (10.3Β±11.5%), geran
