## Abstract The essential oils of __Salvia brachyodon__ (samples A and B), collected from Montenegro, were analysed by GC–MS. Fifty‐four constituents were identified. The oil was characterized by a high content of oxygenated monoterpenes. The major constituents were 1,8‐cineole (23.0–17.2%), bornyl
