Abstract

Capillary GC analysis of the essential oil of Hyptis suaveolens Poit. grown on Aruba showed high contents of 1,8‐cineole (27‐38%) and sabinene (12‐18%). The oil showed a strong antimicrobial activity against Staphyloccocus aureus.
