Abstract
Capillary GC analysis of the essential oil of Hyptis suaveolens Poit. grown on Aruba showed high contents of 1,8βcineole (27β38%) and sabinene (12β18%). The oil showed a strong antimicrobial activity against Staphyloccocus aureus.
