in their 'C,' ground states have been observed in solid neon matrices at 4 K via X-band electron-spinresonance (ESR) spectroscopy. The g and hyperfine tensor components of each cation have been interpreted in terms of the orbital characteristics of the unpaired electron.

β¦ Synopsis
Four negative ions. corresponding to successive one-electron addition, of a series of metal ptthalocyanines have been prepared chemically in THF solution. For cobalt (II) phthnlocyanine, five reduction steps arc found. The results of electron spin resonance measurements on these solutions are discussed. * Hyperfine structure has since been resolved on moat of these suectra. This will be discussed elsewhere in collaboration with Dr. 3. R. Rowlands. Hyperiine structure of porphin anions is discussed in ref. [S).

## Abstract The fragmentation behaviour of a series of six avermectins and two of their derivatives has been studied in the negativeβion mode in the presence of ammonia. In contrast with positiveβion mass spectra the negativeβion spectra show abundant ions in the high mass region. Molecular mass de
