โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
The effect of surface contamination on the morphology and orientation of polyโLโalanine on a glassโceramic and the (1010) and (1011) crystal faces of Lโquart is dealt with both microscopically and graphically. โCleaningโ with an r. f. plasma cleaner and contamination with pure nitrogen results in a change in the number of active sites with a corresponding change in the relative orientation of the polymer and the strength of bonding.

A new poly(ester amide) derived from L-alanine has been synthesized and characterized. The polymer has good fiber-and film-forming properties, as well as other characteristics like thermal stability and solubility in chloroform, which enhance its processing facilities. Degradation studies show that
The hydrolytic degradation of two poly(ester amide)s derived from sebacic acid, dodecanediol, and alanine in both the quiral L configuration and the racemic L,D mixture has been studied. The degradation was monitored by following the changes in intrinsic viscosity, mass loss, chemical constitution,
