## Abstract The acidβcatalyzed enolization of acetone in the presence of bromine is found to be catalyzed by the anionic micelles of sodium dodecyl sulfate. The rate acceleration expected on the basis of lowering of activation energy is largely nullified by the decrease in the entropy of activation
