The locatlon and characterlzatlon of the electronic states of the naphthalene-tetrachlorophthaKc anhydridc chargctransfer crystal IF investigated through the use of tundbk laxr singlet-triplet excitation, and phosphorescence-microware double resonance studies The lowest triplet crystal state is found to bc a triplet naphthalene euciton, and its dimcnsionaI-Ity is discussed.
