Ah&act-The

objective of this work is to determine the type of mechanism that the Fe(III)-EDTA reduction follows on a flat Pt surface, at a pH which is representative of the most common pH range used for this system (3.5 < pH < 6.5). The techniques used are: LSV, CV, rde, rrde, and CP. The results show that the reduction of FeEDTA-follows an EC type mechanism forming a non-electroactive species first, which then reacts with the medium producing the electroactive species FeEDTA'-.
