✦ Synopsis
The effect of ~-glucosidase on three assays for cellulolytic enzymes, i.e. the activities against dyed Avicel, hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) and filter paper (FPU), was studied using cellulase enzyme derived from Trichoderma ree8ei VTT-D-80133.
The dyed Avlce] and HEC assays were only slightly affected by 8-glucosidase, whereas the FPU assay was linearly dependent on the level of B-glucosidase over a wide range of activity of this enzyme.
