Ion pairing effects have been studied for M(CF,SO,), PEO, films with M = Zn and Pb, and n = 9, 16 and 24. Using FT-ir spectroscopy the SO, and C-O-C stretching modes for CF,SO,-and PEO can be studied. Shifts in the C-O-C stretching modes on metal ion coordination to PEO have been observed. Ion pair
