✦ Synopsis

This paper reports a study of isothermal crystallization kinetics of poly(vinylidene fluoride) in compatible blends with poly(methyl methacrylate) and in non-compatible blends with polystyrene. The effects of a filler (sepiolite) on the systems are studied. The results indicate a double action of sepiolite; it acts as a compatibilizing agent in the blend, and it has a nucleating effect in crystallization.

Dielectric properties of polymer blends based on PVDF and two amorphous polymers, i.e. poly(vinyl acetate) and poly(methyl methacrylate), have been studied at different frequencies in the temperature range between -150 and +150 8C. The novelty of this work lies in the way of planning the polymer bl
