โฆ Synopsis
Dielectric properties of polymer blends based on PVDF and two amorphous polymers, i.e. poly(vinyl acetate) and poly(methyl methacrylate), have been studied at different frequencies in the temperature range between -150 and +150 8C.
The novelty of this work lies in the way of planning the polymer blends compositions, which have been prepared according to a statistical design proposed by Scheffe ยด. The purpose is to obtain an empirical equation capable of reproducing the behavior of these systems. From the results obtained after applying the model to the values of the glass transition temperature of PVDF in these polymer blends, it is possible to draw conclusions about their compatibility.
