This paper reviews the phenomenon of volumetric hardening, which is a common feature of the mechanical behaviour of many geo-materials. Three di!erent material idealizations have been proposed to describe this hardening, and the paper contains the corresponding mathematical formulation. These ideali

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
The effect of a variety of electrolytes on the stabilization and destabilization of the rodโlike superstructures in reconstituted collagen membranes have been studied by smallโangle light scattering (SALE). Structural orders at two levels are effected: associationโdisassociation at the micron level and the helixโcoil transitions at the mollecular level. In addition to lyotropic salts, several transition metal ions were also studied. They act to disassociate collagen aggregates by the formation of stable complexes.

## Abstract The aim of this study was to compare the effects of 5 to 30 parts by weight of unmodified and modified collagen on the properties of XNBR rubber vulcanized with a crossโlinking system. This study is a part of experimental series concerning polymeric materials that are biodegradable due
