Other psychological terms, such as apprehension, anxiety, and fear, will be used in this manuscript to describe more fu]ly the disturbed emotional state induced in these animals. The use of such terms is in agreement with the terminology appearing in current psyehopharmacologicM literature; an interesting justification for such anthropomorphic terms to describe certain aspects of animM behavior is presented by Sir JvLIAW HUXLEY (1961).
