## Abstract The inhibitory effect of dithiothreitol on meiotic maturation of mouse oocytes in vitro is a function of the intracellular dibutyryl cyclic AMP concentration. Inhibition of nuclear (germinal vesicle) breakdown by dibutyryl cyclic AMP is reversed upon transfer of oocytes to plain culture
