✦ Synopsis
The effect of Ag20 on the superconducting properties of YB('O/Ag20 ( 0-30 wt.%) with the orthorhombic or tetragonal phase was investigated. The starting YBCO powders which were prepared by different processes strongly influence the superconducting properties of the YBCO/Ag20 composites. Silver slightly dopes into the lattice of the orthorhombic YBCO. Nevertheless, slighl silver doping to the lattice of YBCO compound does not degrade the superconducting properties. On the other hand, 71 is decreased with increasing of the Ag20 content in the YBCO/Ag20 composites with the starting tetragonal YBCO powder.
