✦ Synopsis
We report on magnetic irreversibility and Meissner flux expulsion data of YBa2Cu30 7_ 8/Ag nonrandom composites, having 0, 6, 11 and 23 wt.% Ag. While T¢ remains practically unaltered, we observed a strong decrease in the fractional flux expulsion upon silver addition. On the contrary, the ZFC-FC magnetic irreversibility line scarcely changes in the composites when compared to that of the pure compound. This indicates that the irreversibility line depends only weakly on the granularity at the crystallite level.
