โฆ Synopsis
The van der Pol-Krylov-Bogolubov averaging method [1-5], in a form described earlier [6], for systems with constraints, is used to investigate the dynamics of a particle on a smooth surface which is performing rapid vibration in a conservation force field. The general case of a solid vibrating surface is investigated, and also the case of an ellipsoid with pulsating axes.

The motion of a spherical pendulum whose point of suspension performs high-frequency vertical harmonic oscillations of small amplitude is investigated. It is shown that two types of motion of the pendulum exist when it performs high-frequency oscillations close to conical motions, for which the pend
This work deals with the modelling of the motion of a cart whose wheels are rolling without slipping on a smooth rigid surface.
Dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) was originated as a tool for performing fluid dynamics simulations of complex fluids and among other things has been used to simulate dilute polymer solutions. This report describes a new application of the technique-modeling the adsorption of colloidal particles
