The kinetics of the electroreduction of oxide layers prepared through controlled anodisation of high purity polycrystalline cobalt electrodes in carbonate-bicarbonate buffers, has been analysed with special emphasis laid on the influence of potentiostatic ageing during passive film formation. The pr
