✦ Synopsis

A rapid and convenient procedure based on the Folin-Ciocalteau reagent has been developed to give an estimate of the amount of dihydroxy and other phenolic compounds present in extracts of plant tissues that are readily oxidized in dilute alkali at room temperature.
