This article describes the synthesis and coordination chemistry of five broad types of ligands containing both phosphorus and sulfur donor centres, reviewing the literature up to the end of 1997. Phosphino thiolate ligands combine a phosphine centre with a thiol functionality (usually deprotonated o
## Abstract Nitroarenes are reductively cyclized with an array of tetraalkylammonium halides and trialkylarnmonium chlorides in the presence of a catalytic amount of a ruthenium catalyst along with tin(II) chloride dihydrate at 180Β° to afford the corresponding quinolines in moderate to good yields.
Polymer supported 1, 5, .0]dec-5-ene (PTBD) was used as a base and a reagent scavenger for rapid synthesis of aryl ethers from phenols and alkyl or aryl halides. This method provides a simple reaction operation, and generally high purity of reaction product in good yield.
