✦ Synopsis
The distribution and structures of cerebrosides in bovine heart muscle is reported. Both cerebrosides and cerebroside-esters were identified. Cls-Sphingosine was found to be the predominant base. Palmitic and stearic acids are the main fatty acids, while the carbohydrate moiety is composed of both glucose and galactose.
