The metabolism os carbohydrates during differentiation (sclerotization) of Physarum/lavicomum was studied using the radiorespirometric technique. After about 36 h in a selerotization (starvation) medium the metabolism declined to a level characteristic of the dormant state. Sclerotia incubated in c
