The two books in the series complement each other well and taken together they provide a wonderful resource for anyone researching tourism development in natural environments. They are ®lled with practical case studies, are set out in clear easy to follow segments, and are enhanced by sound sets of references. I would have liked to have seen the addition of some photographs to illustrate the various aspects of tourism under study but overall this is only a minor criticism of two excellent resources. I commend them to anyone researching the links between tourism and the environment as sound practical manuscripts, which throw up a number of considerations underpinning the conceptual and theoretical frameworks of this area of study.
