The band strength of the ~3 vibration-rotation band of HO2 has been determined using diode-laser spectroscopy to be S= 1.1 X lo-'* cm molecule-'. This is a factor of seven smaller than that calculated by Komornicki and Jaffe.

Absolute line intensities of NH 3 in the 2 band were measured for a number of rovibrational lines using a high-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The transition dipole moments calculated from the absolute intensities showed significant and systematic deviations from the usual rotati

The purpose of this work was to obtain reliable absolute intensities for the 6 band of H 2 O 2 . It was undertaken because strong discrepancies exist between the different 6 band intensities which are presently available in the literature (A.
